You can sell your interface, but you cannot sell or transfer your license.

VCDS-Lite registrations are not transferable.

For example, we do not recommend registering VCDS-Lite on a PC which you do not own. Use it wisely there will be no exceptions. Hence we will allow ONE change of PCs per license. We understand that PCs sometimes fail in a manner where it is not economically feasible to repair them.

Ross-Tech will allow ONE change of PC per license.

Hence, there is no need (or ability) to de-activate the software just keep a backup of your license file in a safe place and re-install it. But unlike older versions of our software, the license will not become invalid if you re-format your hard drive or re-install Windows. The activation file you receive will work only on the PC from which you got the serial number.

A license for VCDS-Lite license entitles you to use the software on a single PC.

If you cannot access some control modules which you know exist in your car, registering the software will not fix the problem. It is incumbent on you to thoroughly test VCDS-Lite in shareware mode with your PC and your interface on all control modules in whatever cars you intend to use it on. Ross-Tech cannot provide hardware support for third-party interfaces!.
